Weekend Wellness

Palmyra Racing Association continues to extend support to the community we are proudly a member of.  For 2024, members of PRA are volunteering at Palmyra-Macedon Food Pantry by assisting in the assembly of Weekend Wellness Bags.

The Weekend Wellness Program is a grant funded program, providing bags of groceries to students within the Pal-Mac school district to aide in the fight against hunger over the weekends. The bags are packed twice a month with breakfast, lunch, and snacks for eligible students to bring home for the weekend. There are roughly 120 students participating in the program for the current school year.

Noreen Devlin, the Director of the Weekend Wellness Program for the PMFP, facilitates and organizes the packing of the bags.  She relies solely on volunteers to make it happen. Teams of PRA members have graciously committed to volunteering at one out of the two evenings per month that the bags are packed. The PRA volunteers have enjoyed the opportunity, as well as the great moto discussions that take place!

The Palmyra-Macedon Food Pantry is grateful for the opportunity to provide this program, and Palmyra Racing Association is grateful for the opportunity to help.
